It is a popular figure of speech that gets used innocently every day. I wouldn't think either of you should be too hard on yourselves for missing its inherent naughtiness... unless being hard on yourself is what you need to get off.
Responsible... drunks... who were playing with fireworks? After peer pressuring Jon into nearly rocket-castrating himself, only prevented by some timely and unexpected Ken Ex Machina? Does she really believe that picking up the garbage afterwards is enough to qualify as responsible, or is she instead practicing an excuse and a reason to be angry that she can argue to avoid blame? She seems to have a habit of practicing excuses to be angry so she can blame other people when other people have reasons to be upset with her.
The part I'm confused about is why Jon would hide this. Seth certainly was not shy about sexiling Jon for hours, at least we know he did it the one time. If Seth tries to be an interrupting nuisance Jon only has to give him a glare, and say, "Remember that time I got home from school, I needed to study, and you told me to take a walk for two hours so you could have alone time with Gemma?"
I wonder which notch on the bedpost Jon's virginity is for Tilly. It may even be the first one.
Seth has way less shame about sex than Jon, so even if it's perfectly within his right, Jon probably couldn't bring himself to kick Seth out, and have him know why.
In my mind, she's not super experienced, but has more experience than him
Jon lying skill is inadequate for that: If there was one he'd probably have failed the A-levels for practical falsehood speaking. Either he doesn't know his own tells or he doesn't grasp his inability to control them adequately under pressure or distraction if he thinks that'll last long enough to be worth the effort of trying.
That's a vague enough description to cover a lot of territory up to and including teenage pregnancy. It may also allow for more than one gender identity or sexual orientation as well.
Tilly: "Your bed is my home now."
I guess that's what happens to my poor dirty mind when the person I hang out with the most is a prude. She's rubbing off on me. Alas!
I'm really off my game, aren't I?
