Looks like Gemma is good at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

It evens out quite nicely:
Gemma seems completely indifferent to the fact that this guy lied to her, while that Anna gets angry enough for both of them...

Anna has enough anger for everyone

Was this Liam guy at least pretty enough, charming enough, or adequately considerate and attentive with the naked interaction to have been worth half of his drama to either of them? The two stereotypes I'm thinking of for someone who successfully hits on and beds their girlfriend's new roommate while she's still moving in are either the sleazy charmer, or the bold, ugly, turd-brain who is skilled at being in the right place at the right time to take advantage of lapses in taste and judgment. I suppose this could try to combine both those stereotypes or do neither, but the first would be too realistic, and the second may be too interesting to just leave in the background.

I have to sympathize with Gemma's point of view here that her big problem with Anna is that she's an unending fountain of anger and abuse. Pointing out that Liam was driven off by criminal threats of armed violence is entirely consistent with her point that Anna's behaviour as a roommate is terrible and overly hostile even when she isn't completely unjustified. In the real world that kind of easy rage and criminality ought to land her in jail, although there are enough examples of people like her that manage to get away with that sort of thing I wouldn't call it unrealistic.

Should I ship these two together or would I be the weird squirrel here?
I don't actually ship them, but I feel there's a sort of fan obligation to do so.

That sounds like it might be more than a little bit awkward, but maybe it's what Anna needs to calm down.

Cue Anna getting it on with every other character except Jon. :D

I think if they ever did get together it wouldn't last very long, but they'd get everything out of their systems at least

Lol that does sound like something I would do :D

The part where Ken starts complaining to Jon about how Anna violated him might lead to something... it might lead to something utterly hilarious.

I kind of can't wait until I show him in flashbacks but also wince at the thought of it--it's gonna be great

Yeah, I kinda have to agree with Gemma here, having a screaming, abusive roommate would get old VERY fast. Get a grip on yourself, Anna, it's not charming to behave this way all the time to everyone, and even if Seth is a dirtbag, at least he's a pleasant one compared to you. :P

Haha "pleasant dirtbag" is shockingly accurate

Edit: just to clarify they're talking about Liam, Anna's ex, on this page

Er, I'm pretty sure they're talking about Anna's ex named Liam here. I will not be the one to disagree with your point about Anna's lack of chill though. :)

Oh yeah, they're definitely talking about Liam here, but I'm all for throwing Seth under the bus anyway

Oops, sorry, I missed the change of target for the invective. That feels a little too much like real life when talking to some people and, no offense intended, most of them were women. Jumping subjects is something I've done myself before, I'm sure, but I don't recall it ever being about people I was angry with, just picking up conversations or changing topics because my mind is racing ahead and leaving the rest of me behind. :)
