For anyone keeping score, Jon has kissed two people--he threw up on the first, and got hives from the second.

Also yes this is a real thing that can happen, look science says so: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14635463

True romance is always unshellfish!

I dunno about that, the lady in the pink canoe may smell a bit like fresh catch if she's happy to see you. You might have to go back to the sea and search for different fish if that's a problem.

I shake my head, because this is hilarious and awful. At least it isn't a peanut allergy, Jon might flop over gasping if it were that bad. On second thought, some fish allergies do get nearly that bad. I hope this is no worse for him than just a shot of epinephrine.

Am I horrible for hoping that this ends the romance and we get to see another, comparably disastrous kiss between Jon and someone else fairly soon?

He's not going to have a fun time, put it like that

And no, I think that's reasonable at this point - I have set up something of a precedent! I'm not sure how to top this though, if I'm honest!

If you would like an idea, you could try combining Jon's tendency to make a fool out of himself when drunk (more/worse than normal), and mistaken identity.

If that doesn't work, you could also go for a video of mishaps going viral, getting mugged/pickpocketed, drunken friends/brother interrupting him, car problems, and someone else mistaking Jon's identity. The involvement of skinheads or bobbies interrupting could also make things much worse than needing to go to the hospital for an overnight stay, but that may be a touch too grim for the comic tone of the work.

Seriously, ask the internet. We know how anything could be worse. :)

Jon (while striking overly dramatic poses): "Oh woe is me! What terrible fate! I am allergic... [artistic beat] ...to the woman I love!!"

I was thinking he'd probably do the whole "I'm allergic to love" thing with suitably dramatic flair!
