I’m starting to think Gemma is obsessed with death.

Sidenote: considering everyone in WOT has three fingers and a thumb, losing one finger must be a serious disadvantage in their world.

I am not sure if simply throwing that away as if this were normal trash is the smartest move. Because this way, there is a non-zero chance Seth will have the police at his doorstep tomorrow...

Let's hope their building has a communal bin chute for anonymous finger disposal!

Oh dear Gemma, you're missing the most simple interpretation. Seth was wrong about himself having good hand-eye coordination, and also wrong about being able to easily deal with his plumbing problems. Maybe he's also wrong about that encrusted lump being a finger?

I wonder if Seth's mistaken ideas about having talent and competence have been corrected any by this. Srsly, the Walker boys need to learn their limitations, and then they need to work on improving on those limitations just a wee, teensy, tiny, little bit.

You have a hilariously specific hatred for his plumbing incompetence. + 1

Hatred is the wrong word for it. It's more like I'm seeing echoes of ignorant decisions I lose business to every day. IT consulting often means dealing with incompetents who don't even know what they're incompetent at, but are sure that I'm lying to them because they think I'm trying to rip them off. What's really tedious about this is that most things in IT do have reference information that anyone can look up online, but how many people can be bothered with due diligence on that?

The issue with googling an IT problem is you need to understand enough about the problem to know what to google. In my experience, a good 80% of professionals who use computers wouldn't know what's wrong beyond "it's broken" or "there's an error" so their google fu is hamstrung.

Psychological displacement of frustrating patterns of behavior, fair enough. IT help desk vibes are present.

Best method of deduction: assume Seth is wrong on all counts.

One would hope this episode will have humbled him, but then again this is our dude Seth we're talking about

Serious disadvantage indeed. I mean, how the hell do they do the fancy pinky thing when you drink? Plus you have a 33% chance of losing the middle finger! You need that for driving.

Exactly! Let's hope this poor person didn't lose their flipping-off finger

Wait a second. She has four fingers in each hand too.

? If you count the thumb as a finger I guess?
