Gravity.

General rule of thumb: if something seems too easy, double check to make sure you didn't miss a step or five.

(was going for something in panel 2—Gemma’s meant to be stepping over him, not sure how well that reads)

Come on, Gemma! Just a moment ago you thought that Seth's ineptitude let to him accidentally killing himself, and you didn't like that either! :-b

Clueless and cute people are supposed to ask other people to deal with things for them, they don't fix problems themselves. Think of it like soft-infantilism without the filthy diaper play baby dress up. Perhaps it's merely regressing back to the days when parents would try to pretend Jesus, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny all exist?

AC i’d say getting people to do things you don’t need to do equates to being a boss in most instances. Either that or you recognize and accept you’ll never be a shitting plumber, and that okay, not emasculating.

Plumbers are expensive, and mostly have to deal with simple, stupid problems of Victorian-level technology complexity that people generally can understand and handle by themselves. Calling a plumber once to fix a problem is alright, but if you have to do it again for a repeat of the same problem then shame on you for not learning how to do it yourself.

Fair enough reasoning with plumbing case but I don’t agree with the general assertion. Shit everywhere is getting too specialized, don’t have time to learn nuanced shit when I’m focusing on enough nuanced tasks.

Eh, that's fair. Not everyone is competent to look things up online without getting scammed and brainwashed by nazis in the process. Not everything is something that can be handled by laypeople, or something we can find an accurate guide to online for a reasonable price either. And in a lot of cases doing it ourselves costs too much time or money to be an improvement on paying others as well.

For her there's a spot on the chart where "ineptitude" is the highest it can be while "fatality" is still fairly low, and she'd prefer he stays there

I wouldn't say being covered in gross water is all that attractive either though hahaha!

Is this what you wanted, Gemma?!

Nice try Gemma, but you're doing it wrong. If you're trying to distract him out of something by stepping over him you're supposed to do that dressed in naughty or absent underwear while wearing a short enough skirt he can see that.

If one does not have and regularly use the tools and supplies for soldering, oxyacetylene welding, and other metal construction one must be bloody fucking certain this is a problem they already know how to fix by prior demonstration on the exact plumbing system in question. This is one of the reasons plumbers charge so much: They figure out how messed up your plumbing situation is, and then you pay attention while they fix it to learn how to do it the next time someone does the damn fool thing that clogged or broke it.

Yeeep, Seth just googled a few things and was like, "cool, I can do that!"

Narrator: He could not do that.

I am reminded of an old proverb. Gemini should have been careful what she had wish for, case it might come true, and covered in rank sink water.
