I finally got to use a super old character design from 2009. I wrote the character out, but decided to use that design here. His name is Larry. Say hi! I’m sure he’s super friendly!

Of course, I'm always at my friendliest when some asshole bumbles into me while I'm holding a drink I just paid too much for, and makes me spill it. Wouldn't you be glad to have just met a new friend who is wearing the beer you wanted to drink as well? Quite often the response of the asshole in Paul's position in this scene tends to get angry at you for letting them spill your drink on them too. :P

Worry and panic makes idiots and assholes out of a lot of people, unintentionally so in most cases. It leads us to focus on the things which we don't know how to deal with, and then we screw up the parts that we usually are adequately competent at. Not paying attention to what you are doing is the number one cause of dangerous and embarrassing accidents, so therefore worry and panic is a bad thing to multitask. Obviously the best solution to this problem is to just not care about anything, ever. :)

Low level anxiety makes us vigilant, panic makes us flap

Larry's anger is totally understandable! Paul should be ashamed for getting soaked with Larry's drink through absolutely no fault of his own!

Haha! I can see where this is going now, and you know Larry has to be a tough customer if he's not the least bit intimidated by Paul's size. Buckle up, boys! You're in for a rough exit! :D

Not necessarily the case. He might not see Paul clearly because of the lighting or beer goggles, or he may be an angry drunk, or someone just fired him or broke up with him, or he's just a rage-aholic. This is a a rarer thing, but some people's response to fear is that it pisses us off and makes us aggressive and belligerent.

Or this is the split second before he's quite registered Paul's size, and on the next page he'll be mumbling apologies and scurrying off
