Paul is inconsistently drawn in this chapter, one of the reasons I wanted to do this chapter was to get used to drawing him.

Why study drama when you can just live it!

Adventures are dangerous, uncomfortable, terrifying, frequently boring, and tend to result in lasting damage to some or all of the participants and bystanders. It's only when they get turned into stories later for third party enjoyment that they're actually enjoyable as a rule. So too with drama, in my experience at least.

On the other hand, I must admit to generally preferring my thrills kept at a safe distance where they won't puke on my shoes. I know this is not so for everybody, all the time, or even for myself all of the time..

Ah, so Anna's coulrophilia is something she had prior to meeting Paul.

At first I looked up coulrophobia, figuring there wouldn't be much on people having a thing for clowns for it to get a -philia. The internet once again has proven me wrong.
