And the last horse crosses the finish line.

I'm going to try and update this comic twice a week! I'm not sure whether to have the second update on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, so you can vote on which you'd prefer on my twitter here!

A good thing Seth isn't a horse, other wise he'd be on the self next to the school supplies.

Though seems he's taking it well enough.

Aww, Scarlett put in so much effort to hide her lady-love from Seth, and this is all the reaction we get from the revelation? On one hand that's a brutal anti-joke, but on the other hand I don't really have any idea what kind of response he might have had other than easygoing acceptance of it.

I'm professionally discouraged from ever using Twitter, but put me down for Tuesday as the second day of the week you would update on if you're going to increase output.

P.S. A blonde bombshell named Scarlett Red? Bravo for the relatively subtle absurdist humour there, but I find myself nearly as confused about why she would end up with that name as I was over the name Richard Dick.

I'm not sure where it's suggested she was putting in effort to hide her partner (probably I just didn't put it across very well--when I first introduced Scarlett I wrote her weirdly), but honestly each time I rewrote this scene I found it funnier the smaller Seth's reaction was.

And thanks for voting! Tuesday technically wasn't one of the options, since I thought it was too soon after the first update, but I'll take your vote into consideration all the same!

P.S. I'm glad someone else finds her weird name choice funny! Let's just say her parents didn't realise what they'd done until they saw her full name written on the birth certificate.

I may be remembering incorrectly, but I think I recall a conversation where she tells someone her reasons for hiding the fact that she's lesbian from men. I think this was in an employee party function for Seth's old job as a human cargo-crane. Granted, this is not specifically about whether she has a girlfriend.

I like the anti-humour too, and suggest as a followup that at some point Seth offers her useful relationship/sexual advice, to subvert the clueless-heterosexual cliché joke. The idea of Seth knowing odd things for no particular reason amuses me, mostly because of how much he doesn't know or is uninterested in.

Failing to double check things until it's too late is a very likely story, I'm almost disappointed that it isn't stranger than that.

Ah, of course! Though that was meant to be more an explanation of why her brother was so protective, looking back, it's fair to infer that it was her idea.

Oh, I'm always Seth. Always. There's a saying in my family "when Matt knows it, everyone knows it". Sigh.

Also, since I don't have Twitter, I vote for Monday and Thursday. That gives you a pretty good lead time for the mid-week, and gives you the weekend to get Mondays. I'm looking forward to seeing twice a week!

Aw, that's so mean! But sometimes things aren't as obvious as people think! That's what I tell myself anyway.

And thanks, I'll make a note of your vote!

HAHAHA oh man this progression of Seth understanding and then REALLY understanding is great. You can just SEE the realization building upon previous evidence he'd seen and not noticed before
